2019 University of Missouri Dir of Character & Culture Development - Mentored QB Kelly Bryant

2018 University of Missouri QB Coach- Mentored current NFL Starting QB Drew Lock. Managed, offered, and recruited all QB’s recruited by Missouri Signing Kelly Bryant, Shawn Robinson, and Conner Bazelak in one recruiting class.

2016-17 University of Missouri Recruiting Coordinator - Managed Recruiting Staff, Managed Missouri Football Roster, Coordinated all Spring Scouting, Directly assisted in the recruitment of all Prospective Student Athletes & their families.

2014-15 University of Missouri Recruiting Assistant- Evaluated and managed all Elite Skill positions, assisted with spring scouting coordination, directly assisted in recruitment of PSA's and their families.

Playing Career

2011-13 Vanderbilt University- Carta-Samuels transferred to Vanderbilt where he proved to be instrumental in Vanderbilt's rise from the doormat of the SEC to a contender for the East. Carta-Samuels was elected a Captain and was the starting QB for the #19 ranked Vanderbilt Commodores. He tore his ACL in week 6 and managed to finish his career by playing on a torn ACL in his last 3 games where he was 3-0. He still today has the highest win percentage of any starting QB in Vanderbilt history.

2009-10 University of Wyoming - Carta-Samuels burst onto the scene in a big way starting as a true freshman at QB in 2009 and earning 2009 Mountain West Conference Freshman of the year while guiding the Cowboys to their first bowl win since 2004 where he was the MVP of the game. His sophomore year he was the first True Sophomore in Wyoming History to be voted a Captain by his teammates and coaches. After the conclusion of his sophomore season he elected to transfer.

  • Top 30 Coach Under 30 in the Nation by 247 in 2017 & 2018

  • Mountain West Conference Freshman of the Year in 2009

  • MVP of the New Mexico Bowl in 2009 in a win over Fresno St

  • Elected Team Captain as a True Sophomore

  • Scout Team Player of the Year while Ineligible due to transfer at Vanderbilt

  • Best winning percentage of all QB’s in the history of Vanderbilt Football

Playing Career

2016 Missouri- Played in 11 games after joining the program as a graduate transfer. The Tigers went 4-8 under first year Coach Barry Odom. Stannard ended his career with 1 division championship, 1 bowl championship and played in 46 career games.

2012-2015 Memphis- Was instrumental in Memphis's rise to dominance in the American Athletic Conference Blocking for future first round draft pick Paxton Lynch. Played in 35 Career games on Offense (Interior Lineman) and Special Teams. Played a major role in Memphis's 2014 Conference and Bowl Championship season in which the Tigers went 10-3 defeating BYU in double overtime to claim the Miami Beach Bowl Title and end the season ranked 25th by National polls. The season established a new benchmark for the program which had not had a winning season since  2007 and had never achieved a 10 win season.

Playing Career

2018 Colorado State: The graduate transfer from Washington played in 10 games in his lone season at CSU KJ completed 61.4% of his passes (183-298) for 2,261 yards and 19 touchdowns with 9 interceptions, with a long completion of 69 yards . topped the 300-yard mark three times, including a school-record 537 yards on 34-50 passing (5 TDs/1 INT) in his season opener, his first game as a Ram, vs. Hawaii named to the Johnny Unitas Golden Arm Award watch list in preseason.

2014-2017 Washington: The younger Carta-Samuels began his football career as an Elite 11 QB and top rated pro style passer from Bellarmine Prep. The gunslinger from Cal chose Washington and played in 25 games throwing for 310 yards and three touchdowns. Carta-Samuels played a critical role in Washington's Pac 12 Championship season leading the game winning drive over No 7 Stanford.
